Identity, Introspection & Insight
Updated: Sep 28
In January and February, we provided resources pursuant to critical race theory, including critical whiteness studies to envision what implementing that work looks like. The next step to incorporating these learned values is to encourage a more individual framework. This empowers you to first reflect on your own culture, identity, and self-awareness. It is important to be honest with yourself regarding what you've learned, desire to learn, and what areas you feel unsure or insecure in. We would recommend that you journal or voice memo your thoughts and experiences to further conceptualize all the information you've gathered. Lastly, by learning about whiteness as a norm and how it intersects with what you've discovered about yourself, you can create a roadmap that will lead you closer to your equitable aspirations. Let's see what actions and goals you can put in place for the next quarter!
